hey guys i jus started mentoring my first desciple :wise: , ive had some good ideas like taking them to 3tp’s a day and getting them to collect 5 sweat before i help them hunt to make sure they r almost “dedicated to the game” and was wandering wat other noob activities there are that i can do to be a good mentor, because i know if i give them too many items they will jus sponge off me and not progress in the game like a spoilt baby.
Yea my biggest sugestion is make them work for items. They have to understand that they can’t just have other ppl support them and you can never give them that impression. most important things i do with newbs to me are:
Tell them that it’s free to participate in pe but do hunt, craft, mine you will need to buy items with Project Entropia Dollars (PED). 10 US dollars = 100 PED.
You can deposit ped with a Credit Card(among other ways) or you can work on calypso for it which can be very time consuming and hard.
Then i take them to Billies, Phonix and Lymidian to get them to about center of the map. and i tell them where the map is and that there first goal should be to find all 32 teleporters on Eudoria. And if they do i will reward them a little.
Along the way i teach them about sweating and the way market prices work aslo with tt+___ values for items and % values for materials. and also to sites like pe-monitor that show an estimate of how much items are worth.
I give my disciples deals like sweat at 3 pec per bottle or starter items like pixie and axes for tt price. But the key is not to baby them or they will just loose interest. If they loose interest because they can’t just take ped from anyone else its not a big loss they would never pass mentorship or contribute to PE they just turn into whiniers. PE is for certain types of ppl not ppl that want everything in life for free.
thanks skam that was a good help at least now i have quite a good idea for mentorship in the future, and thanx guys for any extra help feel free to add more advice if u know any thing else that may help :dunce:

Your very welcome
Another thing you should make them have in mind is learn to explore the game on their own, try out a little here and there. Some noobs are scared for everything and ask about stuff that should seem logical but they wont do it unless someone have confirmed that its safe to do so. Not much in PE is risky to do. When you die, you dont loose stuff or skills. Failing doesnt have much consequense in there.
Offcourse you should also warn your diciple about scammers, and teach him about the auction, show him weaponsdealer and tailorer so he wont get ripped off buying black pants in auction for tt+2 when you can get it for tt price
I usually take my diciple on a tour from PA → Billy’s (where they learn how to open TP’s) to phoneix → Zychion Citadel (Where I show him weaponsdealer) then we cross over to East Scyllia Mountains before we end up in Jason Centre where I show him Auction and tailorer and explain the different terminals.
Good luck on mentoring,
and remember the most important thing for the new citizen is a friend in the game

I agree with everything you said.
But noting the first sentence of the quoted paragraph… You could be setting yourself up for a loss. Suppose your diciples get wise and just buy some sweat off some of the local dealers just to turn around and sell to you for nice tidy profit. Granted it will reward their “trading” skills…
