Bear/Boar Armors. Are they worth it?

Are the new armors worth it? Has anyone used them? I have heard the decay is high but does anyone have any real numbers?

I have thought of collecting them but want to know details in advance.

The Bear parts i have do atleast look good :wink:

For using them as protection i dont know though. If you look at stats it gives a hint that they have lots of decay.

ya farely high tt on them, from what ive heard high decay on both them and the bear :frowning:

Damn! Is any of the new stuff better than the old?
This kind of starts to prove my mentor’s words that he told me once:

The only good items were the old ones from pregold. New stuff is just a remake with shifted balance, additional quirks, and higher decay.

Is this really what it seems to be? I’m asking because I haven’t looted much of the newly implemented armors or weapons.

Yes rascal is awesome armor for alot of mobs, very low decay for amount of protection, i still keep pixie though for the smallest of mobs :slight_smile:

I am dying to get my hands on some boar armor.
I think the yellow/black looks sooo good.

anyone know the decay on them? (how it does compared to nemesis, that is)

boar is has worse decay then nemisis for sure, i will try and find exactly how much

I have the amor. The decay is way more than nemesis but then again it does protect alot more. I only use it on big animals not every day hunting sence the decay is so bad.

Id stick with nemesis if you have it you will save alot of ped in decay lol

Wise words. too bad it’s like that with all games. I think it’s some kind of universal formula:

  1. Start new game
  2. Have awesome items.
  3. Get players
  4. Discontinue awesome items due to whining from noobs
  5. Get more noobs
  6. Make cheap copies of ancient items
  7. Earn money
  8. Make more money
  9. Sell out

And if anyone wonders why there is no #7, it is because that’s the secret that keeps good games away from the bad games.

but didn’t monster damage get changed so now pixie isn’t as protective as it used to be? (Therefore making rascal the better armor nowadays)

Just an update, I have Bear now, minus the shins and I love it. I don’t think the decay is all that unreasonable and my looting has been great. Which has lead to a new theory of mine to be discussed in a different thread, whenever I become “unlazy” lol
