Have been working on unlocking avoidance for a long time now.I thought it was going to unlock at 2.6k but i have managed to break the 3k barrier and still no avoidance. Havent chipped so any related skill should be ok to.
Btw what would the related skills be? Anatomy and ? Has anybody else got this problem with unlocking avoidance or have they changed it in these last V.Us?

All I can say is that you should get it soon if (as you say) you haven’t chipped.
My avoidance unlocked at about 2960 evade. But my other defence related skills you also get from shooting mobs (courage, combat reflexes and such)were a lot higher due to hunting.
Don’t focus to much on triggering skills cos it can be really frustrating. You get it when you get it

Thats a good amount of evade and its strange that you havnt got avoidance yet.The skill system has changed a lot since i got avoidance but i will tell you what little i can.
Here is a list of some of my skills when i got avoidance that may or may not affect the outcome.
Alertness 987
Athletics 1536
Coolness? 4745
Courage 6569
Dextirity 6415
Combat Reflexes 6489
Combat Sense 5209
Dodge 937
Evade 536
Anatomy 6689
You can see my evade and dodge skills were very low so i guess some of the high skills you get from hunting must affect it a fair bit.

3000-3500. Member of my society had his at 3400 evade.
Take a look at the link in my sig. Avoidance is somewhere in that thread along with screenshots of all the relative skills 
(and i didn’t have crazy huntingskills when i got it like Full Force had )

only tried a few shots with rifle.. nothing but misses.. so i used sword
