ATTENTION! Repair terminal BUG! (?)

As I was going to repair my gear , I removed my A104 amplifier from the gun, as I removed my armor plating too and clicked: “repair all tools” “repair all armor” and “repair all weapons”

Then -to my ashtonishment the cost seemed to be over 60 PEDs!! “How could that be?” I asked myself. Then I realized there was two items on red bars, my goblin mail and a faceguard, I removed those from the window…

but the price YET remained to be over 16 PEDs. I pondered a bit, ´cause all the items left had almost green bars…and therefore not too much decayed. In that condition repairing all my gear would normally cost about 4 to 8 PEDs

I was puzzled.

I dragged one item at a time back to my inventory and returned it back to the repair window to see which item was the cause of the cost.

-my A 104 almost full “health” was “worth” 14+ PEDs to repair??

I left it to stay on my inv and decided to repair others to full and repair the amp alone just a bit, to toggle the awfull cost.

Then after closing the repair window, I re-opened the terminal and placed the amp on it again. -This time the full repair would cost ONLY 6+ PEDS!!!

HOW CAN WE TRUST THE REPAIR TERMINALS???

Strange! Got to go to the repair terminal and have a look.

Tnx for the warning.

isnt it always random? :dunce:

No, it should not. the cost of repairing an item should be in relation to the actual damage and value of the item…I think.

16 ped only to aklmost fully repair an a104? How come mines (a103) costs almost double that then? Something is up with this…

My a104 is like 40ped

The thing with repair terminal is that they seem a bit buggy. I once repaired an a104 amp fully (thirty-ish something ped) The peds was removed from my card and the terminal was closed. But when I looked at the amp it was still in the same condition. I was gonna whine about it, but then later I repaired it twice without the peds beeing taken from my card. First time happened the very same day. My a104 was fully decayed, I repaired it in the terminal, but as the peds wasnt taken from my card I relogged and tried to repair the amp again. Thats when I noticed that the amp was in full condition. It had been repaired for free. Same thing happened one more time a few weeks later.

Ladies and gents, let’s take a step back and find the commonality here. Its NOT the repair terminals, its the amps. Of all my gear, my Amp is the most routinely expensive piece to fix, and the absolute FASTEST to burn up.

My little A101 POS is a guaranteed 50PED fix when I finally toast it after only 15k ammo expended on either a Justifier Mk II or a Mar-Spark Davidov.

I´m not commenting on the expenses of the amp. I´m commenting about the COST ALTERING so VASTLY! I did not use the amp inbetween, It was the same amp with same decay. First it would have costed 14 peds to repair and then, 15 seconds later ONLY 6 peds. THAT made me concearned.

And it was ALMOST full already. It never cost more than 4 peds to repair full, when the par is almost green.

Seems very strange about your amp decay rate going up and down more than likely just a bug (maybe lag induced) I get them all the time. One word of caution if you are repairing lots of items and hit repair all watch out if you have looted any housing items they seem to be repairable now  and they can drain your ped card. I always take a minute to check under my armor to see if any small item has found its way to be repaired.

This may sound strange but did you happen to loot a low tt A104 amp? I have looted some items with low tt that get hidden under other items in the loot window and sometimes the get shoved to the bottom of your inventory and you don’t even know they exist until you repair and its 30 peds higher than you expected.

The only thing I can think of that might cause a problem like this is server related. I sometimes hunt (for quite a while mind you) and then the server will reboot and put me way way back to some where I had been 30 minutes prior. I am not sure what this will do to decay on items maybe you got caught in that type of flux and it reverted your decay back to a prior time.

Oh well this is all just speculation. Good eye on noticing that I will check my items more frequently in the future.

Nice way to take our peds ! +Rep MA

it really depends on what weapen you are using with it. for example, if you use an…Fireforge XXX something, you will need alot of ammo to decay fully that amp.

but with an tt gun, f.ex. opalo, it will take very few ammo. still you are using the same amount of shots to decay the amp fully:wise:

Really? That is interesting, because I just changed to use an Opalo instead of the murdand Grooved I used it earlier.

But note again: I did not use the amp BETWEEN the repairs. So such odd change to low hp (hight cost) to low cost is realy -really odd.

And the hp bar on the amp was almost green all-the-time.

And YES, I did make sure there was no looted tools/weps or armor there. I took the goblin mail and the faceguard away.

As I said, I tested item by item, which one had the biggest repair cost.

oops, i think i wasnt clear enough. for the fireforge example, lets say it burns 13 ammo. now, add an amp to it. 14 ammoburn.

now look at the opalo. 2 ammoburn, add 1 for amp, = 3 burn.

1000 shots with fireforge you will need 14000 ammo. with opalo, “only” 3000.

hope that makes things more clear…

Yes I understod you lound and clear Pretender. The fact just is this RT bug has nothing to do with amps!

That could have been ANY item. The problem is not about how did it decay!

THE PROBLEM IS: WHY DID THE RT SHOW TWO DIFFERENT COST on the same item WITHOUT using the item AT ALL!!!

As I said: I DID NOT USE THE AMP BETWEEN THE TWO REPAIR ATTEMPS

So we are not talking about how, why or when the amp decayed! We are talking about the Repair Terminal to show random cost! And that is not fair!
