Does anyone know if dodge and evade skills are gained in same amounts if you are wearing armor? And if not, Do better armors cause slower gain still ?

I think without goes faster.. but I am not sure.. just a guess 
but I used really less armor (still low evade) but it’s hunting more economical for not have to repair armor and stuff. I think I hunted 1 month with armor.. the rest without.. doesnt bother with low end mobs I hunt :P.. I can do enough without.. allo young, argo young and cornu that sort of mobs

I know for a fact that using higher end armors bring higher defensive skill gains.
On a normal hunt in domes 1 or 2, I might gain 4-5 evade levels on 250k+ ammo/day, wearing goblin armor. I recently wandered over to dome 4, dawned angel armor, and, although i paid a small fortune on decay, gained over 25 evade levels per day.
Now this may be somewhat due to the longer periods of tanking/harder aurli, But I still firmly believe wearing higher end armor brings higher defensive skills.

Well, I was kinda wondering about this too.
You gain defensive skills when you successfully evade blows / dodge shots. Which makes it somewhat hard for me to believe that you gain them faster when wearing more expensive armor, since you gain them exactly when your armor doesn’t play any role at all, i.e. when you evade / dodge and you’re not getting hit.

I would like to point something out regarding evade.
We all know that we can shoot a mob, and not get any skills, but I have recently worked out, that we can also evade a mob without getting skills.
You don’t only evade when you see evade skills!
I am with Fusion on this one. Regardless of what you’re wearing, you gain those skills if the mob attacks and you’re not hit… armor plays no role in this

Ever considered that it might be because dome4 Aurlis count as a bigger mob than the pesky ones in dome1 and 2 and therefor give you more evade skills?I think armor aint giving extra skills than being unarmored and hunting

Knuckle(head)s, Im not going to make this into a personal vendetta, at least not until Land Grab. I was simply stating my opinion that I derived from hunting over time. I guess next time I’ll just shaddup and let everyone else speak. sheesh :silly2:

Yes please,you havent even played a year so I think you should shaddap and sit in your corner until you learn something instead of overcharging your VISA to buy gear and walk around like your all that etc etc etc

Don’t have a cc buddy, I just had a job at the age of 12, invested a bit at the start, and my capital has grown nicely
Maybe you should get off these forums and go hunt some, cuz i havent spent much on chips. and I know for a fact I got double your skills

Hah,I have earned enough thousands of dollars on this game and nothing makes me jelous. I have used/owned every adj.imp.mod weapon in game basically and owned shadow,angel etc and imp.fap but I sold most of it due to MindArk making the game boring.
I just dont like when someone who started January 2005 talks like he is a all mighty vet who knows everything

Oh my God your killing me,seriously you are killing me. You are funny, you havent really experienced the old skillsystem with long tough slowdowns and no skillchips. None of my skills are chipped, I have however removed over quite a respectable amount of rifleskills from my toon after I quit around 400days ago.I only log few times a month to check up on old bugs and see who the new ubernoob chipper is (you).I know for a fact that even if I havent played much the last year I know I got more skills than you ever will have (unless you play like you got no life for a year)
PS: Was it fun selling Lemonade on the street at age of 12 and calling it “a business”?

Its already answered,it does not.Maturity grade on monster does give a tiny bit more skills the higher it gets

one thing tho: with armor is less dmg. = less fapping = is less medical skills
