its such a shame that game provider cant protect you in such situation especially when you are playing game for 20 years. Many players do couple k mistakes and in those cases it would be normal to look the other way and not interfere but 6000$ mistake and ‘‘we don’t care about it’’ policy is disgusting!
‘‘all trades are final’’ for all folks who dare to comment that, Imagine same thing happening to any of us?
There must be some reverse option, if they can do it with mining boxes, as they please they can intervene here likewise…again we don’t talk about couple thousand mistake this was freaking 60 000 ped mistake of a worst case scenario that went to some john doe/possible alt

Hello, I did the unfortunate bid.

The error came when I was usisng PIP (picture in picture) on my monitor and didn’t really see what was going on, just going like it was with BO.
Then I contacted live support ingame and was advised to start a support case. The case was promptly closed with usuall “sorry can’t do”.

Yes, it seems all bids are final, because trade wasn’t final at this stage. It finalized 1d9h hours later as per Mindark decision. Certainly was enough time to act, not that seller got the money in an instant like in other auction mistakes. And I don’t think he expected such a bid and would be wronged by bid reversal.

Now I wait for seller to come online, but it seems he seldom plays the game. Maybe I will see some decency after all. Anyway, I will leave the game in near future. Thank you all for support.

All trades are final; some trade are just more final than others.

Sorry for your loss, have fun playing “am I famous enough” for MA to give your stuff back. Judging by account age that’s less than likely, but who knows, miracles do happen.

May i suggest something.
Shit happens. But unless there are more/other reasons to leave, taking radical decisions in the heat of pressure of consecuences is never a good idea.
Just give it a little time before you start acting upon it.

Remember when MA misplaced $2.3m+ worth of CLD? But I guess that it’s all up to who does the mistake. MA or apparently some other specific players don’t count and they get the stuff back

I am glad that you reach out the community. This mistake can be made in few seconds without paying attention. In our lives we are doing mistakes by daily basis. If we want to improve our experience in Entropia Universe, both community(maybe someone knows the seller) and MA officials(as mediators) should get involved at least to find the seller for you to start a conversation with him since you didn’t had the chance to find him online yet.
There is a precedent on forum that I have find and from what is wrote there officials were mediators. - 120k ped mistake
As an active player would be nice to see that our community and MA officials trying to help.

This is pure ridiculous. Since they actually can act and have recently for when players was trying to sell mats from mining strongboxes because of the exploit/bug.
I think it’s in MA’s best interest to cancel accidental bids as these ones, returning the fee automatically to seller. Tbh it’s 2024, we should have the ability to cancel one of our bids if there was no higher bid after you and its within 30-60 minutes after your bid or something.
This hurts MA a lot more for potential future revenue because that player may simply withdraw it. @Ludvig|MindArk.

The player you quote as a noob cycles more in 1 session than you in all your ingame life…

That is a great way to prevent accidental big spendings, nice idea.

They better fix this… ppl are getting fed up with easy or preventable problems not being dealt with n we are going to have no players left … I’ve dealt with Fiona many times and she’s a good real life human who plays … come on MA make it right

Agree, Mindark should make it right. This is a life changing and game changing mistake. $6000 is NOTHING to sniff at for 99.999999% of players in the game or in real life.

It’s 2024, we know the ability is there. EVERY OTHER GAME HAS WAYS TO RIGHT SMALL MISTAKES.

DO NOT BE LAZY OR NEGLIGENT WITH YOUR PLAYER BASE MINDARK.

The numbers are already dwindling :frowning:

There are still weak aspects of the auction and auction orders. It sucks and I hope they do something or the seller steps up but in my own personal experience MA won’t do anything. I will never forget “The buyer got a good deal” response from MA because of their weak auction order system that was and still is easily exploited if someone makes a mistake. MA missed out on multiple years of my entertainment dollars being spent in EU because of that response. It’s water under the bridge to some extent I just know it will always be something that informs my decisions on recommending this game and continued participation.

Since 2009, it never changed. Ui update made it even worse, if you are tired it is easy to make the mistake.

Wondering if share holders are aware of AI and UI shenanigans, waste of time and money.

I remember scammers doing this in World of Warcraft. Putting insane bids for some cheap items on auction, hoping that people would accidently misclick and buy them for thousands of gold.

There should be some form of way to revoke such deals (in extreme cases) if they are obvious mistakes. @Ludvig|MindArk
Hope you will get your PED back Fiona!

$6000

What’s the price to Mindark to retain a customer?

You sure can’t claim Mindark is a casino. Casinos understand.
