After around 18 months of playing Pe i think someone yesterday managed to hack my Login and Password. I logged out yesterday evening at around 8pm German Time and watched a movie with my GF. Around 2 hours later i came back and tried to log into PE and found this
Tried again and found the same. So filled a support case and hope to get this solved today. I looked and all my Items are still in my Inventory.
So to everyone out there i really advise u to use a Gold Member Card. He may got my Login and Password but nothin more as i didnt use CC for depositing.
And to the ones who will ask… YES… I use Firewall, Virusscanner and Spamfilter. I also use a Softwarerouter based on Linux as a Packetfilter for my Homenetwork. So i dont really know how this can happen as i dont visit Links i dont know.
May I ask if you use hotmail as the contact you have filled for your personal info to MA? A friend told me that a lot of accounts had been hacked earlier this fall, and all had used hotmail. The hackers had got ahold of their password to their hotmail, and thereafter sent an mail to MA wanting to change password to PE..

Dont think ive ever misstyped the OnTime Code, so this is not why the Card is locked.

Nope no Hotmail and i use alot of Emails for different things. For unsecure things i have 2 Emailadresses which i dont use for other things. Also i always let my Email hide
Biometrics won’t solve anything… It’ll just render hacking a little more difficult and dangerous. Hackers will have to attack you (physically) to hack your account instead of trying to hack some cards or algorithms

thats what i wonder too…
i told them (Mindark) my ip too so maybe they see what happens… atm i doublecheck my whole system and maybe i find somethin..
and sure still when i have all this protection i could did somethin wrong and now have a keylogger or somethin, who knows
So happy I too just got my gold card about 2 weeks ago.. To think how stupid I was for waiting this long with all my nice things on account.
for the better part of two years went w/o an gold card and I guess I was very lucky could have been wiped out by some evil person.. mod fap, mm, mod 117 , full shadow just to name an few..

Sorry about your delima..but thanks for posting it…you may have saved some of us from disaster. Even tho i dont download odd things..or go to unfamiliar sites…might as well get the extra saftey.
Thats the purpose of gold card, most likely keylogger got your last code entry, hacker tried to use that code and was denied dur to code changing every time you log in.
Waiting for mine in mail as we speak! Best security for PE! It done its job!

I would really like to find out though if you really have a keylogger installed on your PC, and whatever you use to track it down if you have got one.
Just rethink anything that you may have done on your PC recently, any files you have downloaded, does anyone else have access to your PC, do you use numeric and alpha combinations for passwords?
Lots of things to think about, but well worth you investigating to track down if it really is a key logger, or a possible hickup in your firewall, virus software etc causing problems with your last few Gold Card entries, or maybe even a hickup at MA’s Server end.
Anyway, look forward to seeing what comes of this.
