about mentoring items

i was wondering, do the skill you finish your disciple period affect, the item received by the mentor ?

i.eg 800 skill in longblade means a melee type reward

afaik, neither the skills of the disciple nor the skill of the mentor affect the mentors reward. it’s pure luck.

I"m more wondering if the interaction with your disciples gives you a good reward.Be nice if it worked that way so good mentors that had lots of contact and helped there disciples got good rewards and ones that just scam ppl into being there disciple get crap.

… I don’t think so Rex, since you can’t really monitor if someone is nice to their diciples. Besides, many have painted their diciples up (in other words, no interactions) and still got great gifts… so it seems pretty random

Hugo- would be nice imo if the gift did coordinate in some way with the skill  But alas, it does not as Cacail pointed out

although if the gift was cordanted with the skill it could lead to mentors preasuring there diciple to skill in a certain area in hope of getting a certain item.

By the way sort of off topic but this is a support case a submited about bad mentors a while ago might be some or no use :stuck_out_tongue:

I currently have a mentor who has provided apsolutly no support for me and have no seen him online in over a month. I would like to know if it would be possible for you to remove him for me as I can not remove him nor get in contact with him. His in game name is “hofferdusty1212 dusty widowski”

Hi,
Unfortunately there is nothing that we can do about this situation right now, since you have accepted the mentor.
We are aware the system is not designed in the best way, since there are ways the disciples can be abused and badly treated once they have accepted mentor. Therefore we are planning to redesign the mentor system and making it possible for a disciple to kick a bad mentor at later stages.

Well, the time period to maintain one’s ability to be mentored is debatable, but in the end don’t be fooled into thinking that you need a mentor in this game. :wise: Mentorship was only recently added in the last year to accomodate the many new players that were joining. But if you are a nice person in game, somewhat mature and able to communicate decent enough, just make friends and ask them questions  That’s what most of us did. And of course visit forums like this for more info
