Occasionally in PE, or in reading the different posts in this forum, I have difficulties to understand the abbreviations. In fact, for people not speaking the Shakespeare’s language everyday, the Rolf ( 
), m8 and others, do not mean a lot.
Is someone kind to explain those abbreviations and the others (let your imagination flow)?

IMO/IMHO= In My Opinion/In My Humble Opinion
IIRC = If I Remember Correctly
IRL = In Real Life

There are loads of these… another one you asked about was ‘m8’ if you say this letter and number together it sounds like Mate… that’s exactly what it is…

Sorry MB, but I’ve been IRCing for over 10 years now, and for most of that time I was on all night every night (sad huh?)
Before that I was regularly on BBSes for another year or two
LOL has always meant:
“Laughs Out Loud”
or
“Laughing Out Loud”
I’ve never in all my time in IRCland or previously heard of “Loud Outright Laugh” :wise:
