With this plate for instance, I see it has a TT value of about 40 ped. The way I understand (L) is that it can only be repaired a certain amount of times. How do we know how many times it can be repaired? If there is no way of knowing, I see possibilities of a lot of scamming going on. With people using an item until its last repair, and then selling it to some poor unsuspecting person who doesn’t know its already been used x amount of times.
And DD as you pointed out in your rep that I was being negative, please understand I meant that it would be expensive because Limited items were supposed to have very good efficiency, and also because when crafted items first arrive, they normally do cost a lot, and then the price drops as the market gets filled with more and more of these.
Thanks Eps for posting.. and I’ll tell Auktuma gratz when I get online later.
I also have a question about this. First and foremost gratz to auktuma. BUT does anyone here see the point in purchasing plates that will be better than their 6a counterparts for only a certain amount of hits? o.O I mean, after they are decayed some, they will provide same/lower protection than 6a plates.
Perhaps we are all mistaken in our assumption that it can never be repaired. Someone please clear this up for us so we can better understand what the feq MA was thinking
6A - has decay cost of .1586pec per dmg (formula - 2600/17500)
7A - has decay cost of .1742pec per dmg (4180/2400)
Therefore -
a) 7A is 10% more expensive(decay) then 6A
b)) This is primarily a PVP plate (but maybe worth it for robots have to wait and see), for c) for this you get 2+ Pen and 2+ burn protection over the 6A plates. (of course you also get 3 more cut and 2 more imp, but not really that important in PVP mode)
What we need to Find out is:
a) can these plates be produced at considerable less cost then 6a, if so, then we have a winner here folks.
b) Presently a 6a plate sells for between 100-110 peds. If these babies (eventually) sell for say 20% less then 6a then we’re in business.

Frist would like to say congrats to Auktuma
but im very upset with this , first plates should have been permant, I was waiting for them new plates to come out but not limited plates so one would never buy these plates and two I guess no new plates will come out that are permant?

I think you are missing my point. These are limited plates, supposedly meaning they can NEVER be repaired. The only way they would be a winner is if they sold for tt+ 10. Anyone feel free to correct me if these plates can in fact be repaired a couple times.

Frist of all I would only consider tempary items if they where like 25% of the cost of an permant item.. maybe even way less
think of it you got your nice Cross pen ok spend like maybe 20 usd and up.. but that same bic pen while being nice is only woth .35 cents.. you not going to want to spend 15 usd for it are you? not even 5 usd

well, you may be right.. But in PVP (land grab), every protection point is precious. selling for tt+10 would make them very attractive. But if they sell for more TT+100 then forget it. between tt+10 to TT+60 might make them a worthwhile purchase for limited events..
I’m courious as to the material used to make one.. that will give us an eventual price tag.

well we agree that they would have to be + 10 -+25 to sell. Gratz again, i am not against the idea of these plates. Its just when i got the pm about them, and was told they offered 4 more protection in pvp than the 6as, i was a little upset as I purchased my 6a set as a n00b after making sure that there were no other slots for future, better pvp armor plates. now of course it was a good idea, as I am in a pK soc, and I was considering these plates…but not (L) plates.

grats too, BUT how come all the nice new items all limted? I agree what are MA thinking, I doubt these are cheap to craft than 6A but will go for much less tt+ and possibly only ever sell for LG / pK’ers
I WANT REPAIRABLE 7As! has any new BP dropped thats normal?
